On last Monday, the men of Captain Boggess met here and were served a splendid dinner and honored with a dance.

R P Crump has sent a little boy and little girl to [Henderson?]. They have lost their mother - Mrs Emeline Graham - and are now orphaned. He wishes the locals to use the sixty dollars he gave to the girl to find their other relatives. Emeline is the daughter of Martin Johnson of Rusk county.
   The grandmother previously lived with Mr. Yarbrough but has moved to Cherokee [county] to live with a son. Mr. Yarbrough believes the grandfather is dead. The children's mother was marrried twice and they are from the first marrige to a man named Webb. They have an uncle named Levi Johnson. [see reward below]
