Trammel Cemetery
This is a shorter route to the cemetery but the roads are just dirt and it is a rougher trip! From the traffic star in Henderson, go 7.4 miles out hwy 43 towards Tatum. Turn right on CR 324 and follow. This road will turn into CR 326. The distance from Hwy 43 to the cemetery is 4.2 miles. Cemetery is on the left.You can get to this cemetery on better highways by going from the traffic star down Hwy 43 to FM 1251. Turn right and go through Church Hill almost to the lake. Turn left onto FM 2658. Go about 1.6 miles and, just as the highway makes a hard right curve, turn left onto CR 391. Go .3 mile and turn left at the intersection. Go .5 mile, cemetery is on the right and hard to see. There is a house just west of it.
I spoke with a couple of ladies that have lived in this area all their lives (one was
93 years old!) and she said that this cemetery has always been called Trammell Cemetery
but some people refer to it as Chapel Hill cemetery because it is so close to the Chapel
Hill church and is in the Chapel Hill community.
